Israel’s push to “destroy” Hamas in the Gaza Strip “will last more than several months,” Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant told U.S. national security adviser Jake Sullivan on Thursday. Sullivan is in Israel for two days of meetings with top officials, including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, following remarks by President Biden this week warning that Israel’s “indiscriminate bombing” would diminish its global support.
