International SOS has developed a “refreshed” module for LGBTQ+ traveler safety, which it designed with direction from LGBTQ rights organization Stonewall UK, the risk management provider announced.

The updated module includes destination-specific information on societal attitudes, biases and challenges LGBTQ+ travelers can face as well as immigration and airport security regulations, laws regarding import of medications and guidance on securing support. Available languages include English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Korean, Japanese and Simplified Chinese.

“The risks faced by the LGBTQ+ workforce may vary based on the destination to which they travel and may be influenced by factors, including the legal status and the levels of social tolerance,” according to ISOS CEO of health and security subscription services Laurent Fourier. “This helps organizations fulfill their duty of care in safeguarding their diverse mobile workforce.”
