We were delighted to catch up with a real Culture Fix favourite, AIDAN, this week, ahead of his return to the Malta Eurovision Song Contest in 2026. AIDAN has worked tirelessly to establish himself as one of Malta’s most successful pop stars, boasting a string of number-one hits including Ritmu, Juliette and Taste, alongside acclaimed extended projects such as Wild, Wild, Wild and This Is Aidan.

As well as throwing his hat into the Eurovision ring with the striking Bella, AIDAN is also set to release his brand-new album, Cowboys Don’t Cry, on March 12.

In our chat, AIDAN delved into crafting something truly timeless and distinctive with Bella, an entry that stands out thanks to its artistry and originality. He also explored the importance of the song’s visual message, as well as the creative process of writing in a way that blends the best of the Maltese and English languages. Bella will feature on AIDAN’s upcoming studio album, and the musician also told us to watch out for his new track Man on the Moon, which he believes to be his strongest release yet.

AIDAN also spoke about his love of Eurovision, revealing himself to be a true fan who embraces both the contest’s rich legacy and its future, keeping a close eye on national finals across Europe. The star also shared his affection for the United Kingdom and his fond memories of visiting.

You will be able to see AIDAN perform Bella during the Malta Eurovision Song Contest on PBS. He will also be returning to the stage in September 2026 for his latest concert, The Show. Be sure to connect with his social channels for further details.

Thanks to AIDAN for taking the time to chat with us, and to his team for organising.
