IHG to Debut Vignette Collection Brand in China

InterContinental Hotels Group has
signed a deal to open two new hotels in Shanghai, including the debut of its
Vignette Collection brand in Greater China with Shanghai Snow World Hotel, Vignette
Collection and the Crowne Plaza
Shanghai Snow World, the company
announced Wednesday. 

Both hotels are expected to open
in 2024 and will be part of the Shanghai Yaoxue Snow World Complex, the company
said in a press statement. 

“Despite the pandemic’s resurgence across the country, IHG has
remained committed to a long-term ‘In China for China’ strategy,’” IHG said in
a press statement. The new hotels add more than
645 guest rooms to IHG’s Shanghai portfolio and join the company’s 618
hotels in Greater China, with another 474 in the pipeline.

The news follows IHG’s plans to debut its Vignette Collection in
Germany.
