*Dream Destinations*
This month we asked the Imgur community to let their wanderlust go wild and share their favorite travel locations. Imgurians made hundreds of posts showing places they wanted to visit for the first time or return to. These pictures of places from around the world filled our feeds with gorgeous countrysides and cultures. For some, their dream destinations weren’t extravagant or far from home. Between local landmarks, mountain ranges, beaches, and more, we were happy to see the spots that were special to you.

*Wallpaper Gallery*
We held our second annual Wallpaper Gallery this month. Wallpapers may seem like insignificant sets of pixels, but we think they are more than that. We see them every day on our devices, and they are a representation of what we hold dear. For this year’s Wallpaper Gallery, we saw a 2.5x increase in participation over last year. Millions visited the gallery to see some of the things other Imgurians valued. From sprawling starscapes to luscious landscapes or photos of our furry friends, there were plenty of wallpaper-worthy posts on display.

*Updates from Imgur HQ*
Over the last couple of months, we’ve been dedicating a lot of time to fixing bugs across all platforms, which has allowed us to begin work on new and exciting projects. Two of which were recently released on Android:
~Comment Image Upload~ Level up your comment creation by selecting the image icon to add an image directly. Don’t worry, the image isn’t uploaded until you make your comment, so take your time!
~Imgur Emerald for $1.99~ On Android, we previously offered Emerald membership only to those with a Coil subscription. However, we’re happy to share that you can now purchase Emerald directly from us within the app at a lower price. *Pride Month*
In June, Imgur supported Pride Month as Imgurians from around the globe came out to celebrate and share their stories with the world. Aiuta219 shared a photo of one of the rainbow crosswalks of Northalsted, Chicago, one of the largest LGBTQIA+ neighborhoods in the United States. From pride ponytails (and dog tails) from Imgurians Cazzia and KickThisPig to displays of colorful décor from thatsmrsfancypantstoyou; this month, the #pride tag was filled with beautiful LGBTQIA+ stories, celebrations, calls-to-action, allyship, and history. 100% of proceeds from pride-themed apparel and accessories on the Imgur store will continue to go to GLSEN, an organization that aims to protect LGBTQIA+ students’ ability to learn and grow in an environment free from harassment and bullying.

*Urban Farming*
The aptly named FarmerNjau has been an urban farmer for the last six years. In this slice-of-life post, he details his journey in building his latest farm from the ground up. Urban farms are important because they afford opportunities to acquire produce in areas that may suffer from food insecurity. Food from this farm goes directly to food banks and organizations that subsidize produce for locations where income disparity is rampant. We’ll want you in our corner when the zombies come, FarmerNjau. Keep up the great work supporting your community!
*Hydroponic Engineering*
Imgurian SMTGreens also grows greens, but with one major distinction. In hydroponics, soil is not needed to grow plants. Due to this, plants grown with this method can be harvested year-round and help reduce food scarcity in areas with harsher environments. This style of farming is complex, but SMTGreens has got us covered. From filter replacements to in-store installs, he shows us the ins and outs of the hydroponic process in the informative post above.
*Imgur Inspires*
Sometimes you see something on the internet that scratches your creative itch. For Imgurian igooutsidetoomuchtoknowifitsarepost, that something was a picture of two cats cuddling in a hollowed-out box television. After being inspired by this adorable display, he recreated it for his own kitty. After a small mishap dismantling the television and a trip to the hardware store, the unconventional cat bed was complete! Stop by the post to check out the build process!
*Four years of free meals*
Over the years, Imgurian TheFreeMeaLLady has provided meals for thousands of people in need. This month marked the fourth anniversary of meal drives and service to her community. At over 200 food drive days and counting, she’s showing no signs of slowing. In addition to helping families feed their children, she donates directly to the elderly members of her community by helping them get groceries for their homes. Hundreds of Imgurians donate to her cause every year, with the ultimate goal that someday, no children will go hungry. Thank you for everything you do TheFreeMeaLLady. *Jurassic Park Fan Room*
As a mega-fan of the franchise, Imgurian GrumpyEditor embarked on a journey to build the ultimate Jurassic Park-themed man cave. In a fun series of photos, he showed us his progress from start to (nearly) finish. With his feline supervisor by his side, he laid tile, drilled holes, built a bar, installed shelves, and more! What started as a poker room/closet/hair salon in a quaint farm home he purchased; grew into something special. Take a peek at the construction process in the post above!
*Etch A Sketch Artist*
For the better part of a decade, Imgurian pikajane has posted her etch a sketch creations to Imgur. This month, she hit another milestone in her art career. She was featured on television last year, but this is the first time her work has been in a full-length film. According to her research, it’s the first time art in this medium has been used for a film; ever. Congratulations pikajane. We hope to see more of your work in future films!
