Former President Donald Trump will be making a stop in Mesa, Arizona, on Sunday to stump for candidates he has endorsed in this year’s midterm elections including Blake Masters, the GOP U.S. Senate candidate, and Kari Lake, the state’s Republican candidate for governor.

The rally comes as the former president has traveled around the country in recent months to throw his support behind candidates ahead of the elections. On Saturday, Trump spoke in Minden, Nevada, alongside endorsed candidates Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo, who is running in the state’s gubernatorial race, and former state Attorney General Adam Laxalt, the GOP nominee in the U.S. Senate race.

In a statement on its website, Trump’s “Save America” political action committee (PAC) said the rally in Arizona “is a continuation of President Trump’s unprecedented effort to advance the MAGA agenda by energizing voters and highlighting America First candidates and causes.”

The rally, which begins at 6 p.m. EST, is being streamed live by the Right Side Broadcasting Network (RSBN) and can be viewed on YouTube, or the platform Rumble.

In addition to Trump, Masters and Lake, speakers at the event will include Arizona GOP Representatives Andy Biggs and Debbie Lesko, and GOP Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, of Georgia.

In the Arizona Senate race, polling in the race shows Masters behind incumbent Senator Mark Kelly, a Democrat. According to FiveThirtyEight, the race’s polling average puts Kelly ahead with the support of 49.1 percent of voters, while Masters has 43 percent.

Meanwhile, Lake trails her opponent, Democratic Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs, by a much smaller margin. Hobbs is up by only 0.4 percent, according to FiveThirtyEight, with 46.9 percent of voters backing her, while Lake has 46.5 percent.

Trump’s rally in Arizona comes as he is facing mounting legal pressure. The former president is facing an investigation from the Department of Justice (DOJ) into whether he improperly handled classified documents. On Tuesday, Trump’s attorneys asked the U.S. Supreme Court to intervene to ensure that the documents would be reviewed by a special master before they can be accessed by federal investigators.

Trump has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing in regard to the documents, and said that any classified documents that he took from the White House when he left last year had been declassified.

Last month, New York Attorney General Letitia James also accused the ex-president and three of his children—Donald Jr., Ivanka and Eric— of knowingly filing misleading valuations of properties and inflating his net worth.

In addition to the U.S. Senate race in Arizona, Republican candidates are looking to flip seats around the country in November and are mounting competitive challenges against Democrats in states including North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Ohio.

Newsweek has reached out to the Trump’s press office, and the Masters’ and Lake campaigns for comment.
