Disney Dreamlight Valley has amassed quite the player base since its launch on consoles and on Steam Early Access. While there is plenty for players to do in the game, like learn all the 5-Star recipes in the game, some players have had trouble even getting into the game recently. One particularly annoying issue that many have reported is an issue with the loading screen getting stuck.

Unfortunately, there’s no real official fix for the not loading error in Disney Dreamlight Valley. But Gameloft is working on figuring out what is causing the problem to persist for many users. Additionally, there are a few things you can try, however, as with anything that requires troubleshooting, not everyone has seen success with these methods.

Players struggling to get past the loading screen in Disney Dreamlight Valley can try a few different recommendations based on their platform. If you’re playing on Steam, try verifying the game files through the library options.

Players experiencing the loading screen being stuck may need to restart their console or PC of choice to try to resolve the issue. Gameloft is working on an official fix for the issue.

It may take a few moments for the system to check through the game files and then download any that might be missing or corrupted, but this can often resolve many issues that players are having with games on Steam.

If you’re on a console, or even on a PC, you can try quitting the game and relaunching it. Some players have seen success with a simple restart of the game. If that doesn’t resolve the issue, try restarting your PC or console and letting everything shut down before you start it back up. This may clear out any registry or temporary files that might be causing issues.

If the issue continues to persist through a console or PC restart, then the only other option may be to reinstall the game completely. The steps for this will vary depending on your platform, but once reinstalled, the loading issue may be completely fixed. However, as noted above, this is not always the case, and some players have still reported problems even after reinstalling the game completely.

Unfortunately, if the recommendations above don’t fix the issue, you may need to wait for Gameloft to issue a patch with an official fix. The team behind Disney Dreamlight Valley is aware of the issue and is looking to fix it as quickly as possible.
