With a new month comes a new shift in perspective.
The Libra New Moon ushering in on Oct. 2 isn’t your typical lunar phase: This one is also a solar eclipse, which according to astrologer Aliza Kelly, “stands out because it focuses heavily on relationships, balance, and fairness.”
“Libra energy is about partnership, diplomacy, and harmony,” host of the Horoscope Weekly podcast and author of the forthcoming book, It’s All Magic told E! News, “so this eclipse will bring up themes around how we relate to others—both romantically and professionally.”
As Aliza explained, “Unlike eclipses in more action-oriented signs, this one pushes us to find equilibrium between asserting our own needs and accommodating others. With Mercury also involved, communication will play a huge role in how these changes unfold, potentially revealing truths or miscommunications that need to be addressed.”
In fact, when compared to other eclipses, the focus this time around “isn’t just on bold personal transformation,” she noted, “but on how we navigate the balance between ‘me’ and ‘we’—making it crucial for addressing imbalances in relationships, contracts, and collaborations.”
