Hamburger Seasoning

Homemade Hamburger Seasoning is savory, smokey, and a little bit spicy!

Prep Time 5 minutes

Total Time 5 minutes

  • Whisk all ingredients in a small bowl.

  • Use 2 teaspoons per pound of beef (or to taste) for making hamburgers plus additional to season during cooking.

This mixture can be mixed into the beef before forming patties or sprinkled on top before cooking (or both!).
It can be used on fresh or frozen burgers.
Add additional spices and herbs to your liking. Try cayenne pepper, red pepper flakes, or add a little dried oregano or parsley.
Kosher salt has larger grains and is great in this recipe although it has larger grains. We find that table salt blends a bit better with the other seasonings. Flavored or smoked salts can also be used.
This makes approximately 3 tablespoons. Store up to 6 months in a dry cool place.
