(FOX40.COM) — Just a couple of days left of October and many are wondering if their CalWORKs benefits will continue in November amid the government shutdown.

The California Department of Social Services website stated that millions of Californians who are receiving benefits from programs can be impacted as early as November.
CDSS officials said, “The federal government has shut down due to the failures of the President and Congress to continue government funding.”
CDSS officials suggest that communities head to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, but its officials have a statement on its website stating it will not be updated during the shutdown.
Authorities stated that the Food Stamp Program helps people who live near or below the poverty line to afford groceries for their loved ones. Federal dollars fund the program; however, it is administered by state and local agencies.
Officials stated that SNAP is funded in advance, meaning a government shutdown does not make the payments stop immediately, although a long shutdown could delay future deposits.
Many users who receive benefits use an app called “Propel.” Once a user opens the app, the following message pops up.
Officials said so far it is unclear if there is going to be back pay for missed payments or benefits that Californians would normally receive.
At this time, authorities said these are the states that have announced that November benefits are at-risk.
