Fundraising initiatives have been launched to support the families of three victims of a “horrific” car accident following this year’s Bass Canyon festival in Washington.

Brendan Kivlehan, 26, Natalie Nicoletti, 24, and Julian Dayap, 20, died as a result of the accident, which occurred near Cle Elum on August 21st, 2023. They were on their way home and heading to the airport at the time, according to an organizer of one of the GoFundMe campaigns, Alexis Garibay, a friend of the three attendees. Another passenger, Katherine Ogletree, survived the accident and was hospitalized in critical condition.

The group had been traveling in a 2013 Subaru Legacy, which veered off the left-hand curve and crossed into the right lane before the vehicle came to a halt in a nearby ditch, LA Weekly reported, citing investigators. Washington State Patrol ultimately identified Dayap as the driver.

Dayap’s family also launched a GoFundMe to help cover the cost of his medical bills and funeral.

“We are reaching out to his community to help us raise funds to give Julian the beautiful farewell he deserves,” the campaign reads. “Your donations will go towards the costs of the celebration of life, medical bills, as well as supporting his family during this difficult time.”

The tragic crash is currently under investigation.
