Kelly’s tenth studio album will be titled Chemistry, and she shared in an announcement video yesterday that it’s been in the works for three years. The album will portray “the arc of an entire relationship,” she explained, referring to her recent divorce from Brandon Blackstock.

“Chemistry can be a really amazing, sexy, cool, fun thing, but it can also be very bad for you. So, that’s why I named [the album] Chemistry. I thought it was kind of the perfect title to describe the entire album that is coming out soon,” she said.

Kelly shot to fame back in 2002 when she won the first season of American Idol. From there, she released her debut album, Thankful, which featured hit singles like “Miss Independent” and “A Moment Like This.” Since then, Kelly has released nine studio albums, including the GRAMMY-nominated Stronger and the chart-topping Meaning of Life. She’s sold over 25 million albums worldwide and has won three GRAMMY Awards, making her one of the most successful American Idol alums of all time.

In 2021, Kelly became a judge on the hit singing competition show The Voice, where she uses her experience as a successful artist to mentor up-and-coming singers. She also brings her gift of connection to a fun and funny hour each weekday during The Kelly Clarkson Show, offering heartwarming stories, live musical performances, games, and surprises.
