(KRON) — Highway 37 is scheduled to alternately close in the eastbound and westbound directions for four consecutive weekends in relation to major pavement repair work, Caltrans announced on March 21.

Starting Friday, April 12, Caltrans will perform repair work on eastbound and westbound Highway 37 between Solano and Sonoma counties. One traffic direction on Highway 37 will be worked on at a time.

Westbound Hwy 37 detour

On the weekends of April 19 and 20, traffic will be detoured, starting the westbound Highway 37 connector off-ramp to Highway 29 in Vallejo.

  • Friday, April 12 at 9 p.m. to Monday, April 15 at 4 a.m.
  • Friday, April 19 at 9 p.m. to Monday, April 22 at 4 a.m.

Drivers traveling westbound on Highway 37 will need to exit right onto northbound Highway 29 (Sonoma Blvd) in Vallejo and continue on northbound Highway 29 (Broadway) in American Canyon to Highway 29/Highway 12; then turn left and continue on Highway 12/Highway 121 (Carneros Hwy/Fremont Dr); turn left on Highway 121 (Arnold Drive) and make a right back onto westbound Highway 37.

Eastbound Hwy 37 detour

Traffic will be detoured on the weekends of April 26 and May 3, starting at the northbound Highway 121 (Sears Point) in Sonoma.

  • Friday, April 26 at 10 p.m. to Monday, April 29 at 5 a.m.
  • Friday, May 3 at 10 p.m. to Monday, May 6 at 5 a.m.

Drivers traveling eastbound on Highway 37 will need to exit left onto northbound Highway 121 in Sonoma, make a right on Highway 12/Highway 121(Carneros Hwy), continue right on Highway 12/Highway 29, and enter left for the connector loop off-ramp back to eastbound Highway 37.

Caltrans said detours will be in effect and that all work is weather-dependent.
