Join Carolina Wildlife Sanctuary for a guided morning walk through Lake Norman State Park, 759 State Park Road, Troutman, North Carolina.
The tours take place on July 11 and 25, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. They are free, but pre-registration is required.
Enjoy this tour in search of local songbirds, waterbirds, and other wildlife native to the Lake Norman area. Led by CWS wildlife biology intern and naturalist Michelle, participants learn to identify birds by sight and sound while exploring one of the region’s most beautiful natural settings.
Binoculars recommended but not required. Free and open to all ages — a great fit for families, beginners, and anyone curious about the birds in their backyard.
Carolina Wildlife Sanctuary is a licensed 501(c)(3) wildlife rehabilitation nonprofit serving Cabarrus County and the greater Charlotte region.
