Four suspects were arrested Friday night in connection to an assault on 8th St. in southeast DC
WASHINGTON — Metropolitan Police Department announced the arrest of four suspects who assaulted staff members on the 500 block of 8th St. in southeast on Oct. 15. That is near as you are. DC.
The suspects were identified as 28-year-old Deonya Greene, of Northeast, 35-year-old Delonte Davis, 32-year-old Javon Thomason, 38-year-old Travis Warren, of Southeast, were arrested and charged with assault with significant bodily injury and threats to kidnap or injure.
According to authorities, on Wednesday, Oct. 15 around 9:54 p.m., two staff members were walking in the back of a building when a driver almost hit them. The four suspects were in the car but police did not say which suspect was driving at the time.
Two of the staff members then got into an argument with the suspects after they got out the car. The suspects than approached a third staff member in front of the cafe and began to assault them. The first two staff members attempted to defend the third staff member but than the suspects began assaulting all three victims. The suspects made threats to kill and injure the victims.
Police still do not know a motive for the attack.
