Four people were found dead Monday after a reported hostage situation at an Oklahoma marijuana farm.
The Kingfisher County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported hostage situation on Sunday night in Hennessy, about 55 miles northwest of Oklahoma City. The sheriff’s department called the the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation after discovering four dead bodies and a seriously wounded person on the 10-acre farm. The injured person was taken to a hospital.
The victims had all suffered gunshot wounds.
The suspect remains on the loose, according to KOCO.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation said the victims knew each other and the suspect.
“They all know each other. Don’t know if they’re related, don’t know if they’re co-workers but certainly these individuals, we believe, were all familiar with each other,” said Capt. Stan Florence.
Their names and ages have not been released.
“At this point, we have a suspect in mind. We have no information specific to be able to share that information at this point,” Florence said.
Kingfisher County Sheriff Dennis Banther told local media outlets a warrant for the suspect was issued Monday.
Florence said the OSBI would handle the shooting investigation while the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics investigates the “marijuana grow operation,” including whether it’s a legal farm.
