Forecast: Seasonal temps; breezy but less blustery



WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Clouds scatter, breezy, seasonably chilly. Some upper 30s normally colder outlying areas. Winds: Northeast 10-20 mph with some gusts 25-30 mph at times. Low: 43. 

Thursday should feature a good deal of sunshine, likely more than what occurred on Wednesday afternoon, with only a few mixed fair weather cumulus clouds from time to time.  Cloud coverage will increase Thursday evening beyond sunset.

Low pressure continues to move east into the Appalachian Region and high pressure in southern Canada will help bring fair weather to the Chicagoland area.

Very little temperature change expected again with highs warming into the middle 50s, similar to the past several days.

Thursday wind gust forecast

Far less windy conditions on tap compared to  Wednesday when peak gusts reached nearly 40 mph in many locations. Instead, gusts on Thursday will be about half those velocities.
