Five injured in separate shootings and stabbings across Stockton overnight

Five injured in Stockton overnight due to separate shootings and stabbings; multiple arrests made in stabbing cases.

STOCKTON, Calif. — Five people were injured in separate shootings and stabbings across Stockton overnight Friday, according to police.

Three people were stabbed and two others were shot in unrelated incidents throughout the city. Police said multiple arrests have been made in connection with the stabbings.

All three people stabbed were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

Two men were hospitalized after unrelated shootings. In one case, a 38-year-old was caught in a gunfight in a business parking lot on West Lane. Authorities described the suspects as men of unknown races.

In the other incident, a 26-year-old man was shot when someone opened fire on his vehicle near East Fremont Street. He was taken to the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.

Police said if anyone has any information on either shooting incident, they may submit an anonymous tip(s) through Stockton Crime Stoppers, at (209)946-0600, and be eligible for a reward for any information that leads to an arrest.
