First Telefèric Barcelona to open in Roseville with Spanish dining

Telefèric Barcelona opens in Roseville on Oct. 18, delivering authentic Spanish cuisine and community engagement.

ROSEVILLE, Calif. — Telefèric Barcelona, the Spanish restaurant brand, will officially open its doors in Roseville on Friday, October 18, co-founder Xavier Padrosa confirmed today.

The arrival of Telefèric Barcelona marks a significant milestone for the region, offering an authentic taste of Spain complemented by the restaurant’s signature hospitality.

The Roseville location, located in the heart of the city, is in the final stages of preparation. Padrosa shared with ABC10 that construction is nearly complete, staff training is wrapping up, and chefs are fine-tuning the menu to deliver Telefèric’s signature flavors from day one.

“We’re putting the finishing touches on our Roseville location and look forward to opening our doors very soon,” Padrosa said.

Telefèric Barcelona is known for blending authentic family recipes with fresh local flavors, offering a menu rich in traditional Spanish cuisine.

Roseville’s location will debut Telefèric classics and fan favorites, alongside signature experiences such as Flamenco & Tapas Night.

Padrosa emphasized the balance between maintaining authenticity and embracing the local culture.

“That balance keeps us authentic while making every location feel connected to its community,” Padrosa said.

Adjacent to the restaurant, Telefèric Barcelona will open El Merkat, a Spanish gourmet market featuring artisan cheeses, jamón ibérico, wines and pantry goods imported directly from Spain.

Padrosa described El Merkat as an extension of the Telefèric experience, a place where guests can take the taste of Spain home with them.

Since announcing their expansion into Roseville, Telefèric Barcelona has been actively connecting with the community.

The team has partnered with local organizations, including SPLASH and the Roseville Chamber of Commerce, and recently supported the Hope Gala, which benefits youth in Placer County.

“In getting to know Roseville, we’ve found the community to be warm, welcoming, and family-oriented,” Padrosa said. “That spirit aligns perfectly with our philosophy of bringing people together at the table…”

The new location will feature a combination of team members brought from Spain to lead operations and locally hired staff trained in Telefèric’s family-style hospitality.

“We’re building a diverse local team that reflects and connects with the community, creating the right balance between authenticity and local alignment,” Padrosa said.

Looking ahead, Telefèric Barcelona views Roseville as a key step in its growth in Northern California. Padrosa hinted at future expansions, including locations in Scottsdale and La Jolla.

“Our focus right now is on opening our doors here and becoming part of the community, but we’re always looking ahead with excitement at the opportunity to share Telefèric Barcelona with more people,” Padrosa said.

The community is invited to celebrate the grand opening of Telefèric Barcelona on October 18. With its blend of authentic cuisine, immersive experiences and community connection, the new Roseville location is assured to become a cultural and culinary destination in the region.
