First Ever University City National Night Out Oct. 7 – Charlotte On The Cheap

National Night Out is a program that encourages local police departments to connect with the community in a fun way, and encourages the community members to stand together for safety and awareness. The official date is the first Tuesday in August, although not all communities hold their National Night Out event on that date. Many events also take place in October.

Some National Night Out events are for the general public and some are for members of specific communities or neighborhoods.

There are many National Night Out events being held in the Charlotte area.

University City neighbors are coming together for their first-ever National Night Out on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Armored Cow Brewing, 8821 JW Clay Blvd, Charlotte, North Carolina.

It’s free to attend and includes:

  • Food trucks & music
  • Games & giveaways for kids
  • Firetruck, EMS, CMPD K9s & motorcycles
  • Community partners like TreesCharlotte & MoLi (mobile library)
