A Prince George’s County firefighter was injured while tackling a house fire in Suitland. The cause and extent of the damage remain unknown.
SUITLAND, Md. — A Prince George’s County firefighter was injured Saturday afternoon battling a fire in Suitland.
Units responded to the house in the 2300 block of Gaylord Drive at 2:51 p.m.
According to officials, fire was evident on both floors of the two-story duplex.
After putting out the fire, firefighters searched the house.
One firefighter was taken to a local medical facility for evaluation. Officials didn’t specify what kind of injury the firefighter sustained.
Units remained on the scene afterward to keep an eye out for hot spots.
Officials didn’t say whether anyone was home, nor did they indicate how much the damage might cost.
