Fire burns building near BART station in Concord overnight

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) — Firefighters are battling large flames in Concord Monday night.

The fire is burning in the area of Sunset Street and East Street.

That is right across the street from the BART station and in a stretch of commercial buildings.

The Concord Police Department says road closures are expected to last into the morning hours.

Drivers are being warned to expect heavy traffic in the area.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
