Crabcore has made its way to Destiny 2 as an emote! For those who didn’t grow up in the mid-to-late-2000s, crabcore is a term made famous by Attack Attack!‘s 2008 music video “Stick Stickly.” The scene in question is when the band got real low to the ground and did what can only be described as “dangerously low squats” in the widest stance possible. They looked like a bunch of crabs dancing, hence the term “crabcore.”

And sure, this is a fun callback for everyone in their 30s and beyond, but it’d be interesting to know how many Destiny 2 players actually remember this hyper-specific trend. I’m hoping a lot, because it’s hilarious they even added it 15 years later.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I feel the urge to go purchase some ball-strangling tight jeans.
