Father and son speak out after viral confrontation with another fan at Phillies/Marlins game

MIAMI (WPVI) — We’re hearing from the father and son at the center of a controversy that played out in the stands during a Phillies/Marlins game in Miami over the weekend.

The incident has since gone viral.

It happened when Phillies outfielder Harrison Bader sent a home run ball flying into the stands.

Andrew Feltwell grabbed the ball and gave it to his son, Lincoln, while they were at the game to celebrate his birthday.

That’s when a woman stormed over to the family, demanding they give her the ball because she said it landed at her feet.

Andrew ultimately handed it over.

“When she screamed in my ear… everybody saw how shocked I was,” Andrew said. “All I could think was, ‘Make her go away.'”

“When we had to give the ball to her, I wasn’t very happy, but it had to be done to get her to go away,” Lincoln said.

Watch more from Andrew and Lincoln’s interview that aired Monday morning on GMA.

Meanwhile, both teams gave Lincoln a reason to smile after all of this.

The Marlins gave him a prize pack filled with team gear, and after the game, he also got to meet Bader, who gave him a signed bat.
