Fatal deputy-involved shooting at Dry Creek Community Park in West Roseville

A deputy-involved shooting occurred at Dry Creek Community Park, according to the Placer County Sheriff’s Office. The suspect involved died at the scene.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. โ€” A deputy-involved shooting left one man dead at Dry Creek Community Park in West Roseville on Tuesday night.

According to the Placer County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to Dry Creek Community Park after receiving reports of suspicious activity in the area. Upon arrival, two deputies encountered a man “armed with a large knife.” The man allegedly charged at a deputy with the knife before he was shot. The man died at the scene.ย 

The shooting will be investigated by the Placer County Sheriff’s Office, as well as the Placer County District Attorneyโ€™s Office. This is an ongoing investigation.ย
