(KRON) — A fiery single-vehicle accident Wednesday night resulted in the death of a family of four, according to the Pleasanton Police Department. The crash occurred around 9 p.m. on Foothill Road near Stoneridge Drive.

Two adults and two children died in the crash, police said. The ages of the children were not made available at this time.

Police say they are conducting a thorough investigation and do not have any additional information to share at this point. Pleasanton PD say it will release further updates as they become available.

There is no indication of alcohol or foul play being involved, police said.

Video from the scene appeared to indicate that the vehicle had struck a pole before striking a tree and bursting into flames. The tree had fresh burn marks on it and the scene was covered in flame retardant foam.

Remnants of wreckage found at the scene indicated that the vehicle was an electric car.

Victims’ identities are not being released at this time, police said. The coroner’s office is still in the process of notifying next of kin.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
