Family left without home after fire in Cary

CARY, N.C. (WTVD) — A family is left with a home after fire Saturday afternoon in Cary.

The fire department responded to two separate reported structure fires.

At 4:47 p.m. units were dispatched to a home, which was engulfed in flames, in the 1000 block of Daybreak Bluff Drive. Investigators said the fire started from the back deck before spreading to the roof.

Shortly after, around 4:53 p.m., units were called to reports of smoke in the 100 block of Shirley Drive. No fire was found at this location.

Thankfully, there were no reported injuries. No further information is available.
