Fall-like temperatures and conditions make their way back to the Sacramento area

(FOX40.COM) — The National Weather Service announced an unsettled weather pattern for the Sacramento area, bringing widespread precipitation with cooler temperatures, breezy winds, and thunderstorms in the mountains.

After months of warm weather, the cloudy and rainy conditions make their way back to the Sacramento region for a couple of days.

On Sunday night, according to the NWS, Sacramento residents can expect an increase in clouds with low temperatures in the low 60s with winds coming from the southwest from five to ten mph, resulting in calm weather in the evening.

FOX40’s Meteorologist Riley O’ Connor said our chance of spotty showers arriving Monday and temperatures will remain on the cooler side with highs in the 70s.

In the evening, the chance of rain rises just a bit with mostly cloudy conditions, with low 60s with light wind coming from the west-southwest, resulting in a calm evening.

However, officials said new precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch are possible.

On Tuesday, chances of rain drop become low after 11 a.m. with partly cloudy conditions with a high of 75 degrees. Going towards the night, the percentage of showers remains the same with mostly cloudy conditions with low temperatures in the 70s.

On Wednesday, the chances of rain are higher with partly sunny conditions with a high temperature of the 70s. During the night, the percentage chance of rain drops before 11 p.m. with mostly cloudy conditions and low 50s.

A slight chance of showers pushes its way on Thursday before 11 a.m. with partly sunny conditions, with a high of 70s.

Going into the weekend, the Sacramento area sees clear and sunny skies with temperatures ranging from high 80s to low 50s.
