The film Elf is getting its own Roblox experience on the movie’s 20th anniversary.

Fairview Portals and Supersocial are launching Elf North Pole Workshop as a game for Roblox users. It’s billed as a magical journey into the heart of the classic movie, Elf.

In collaboration with Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group, the immersive experience invites players to step into Santa’s Workshop, don elf hats, and embody the roles of Wish Taker, Toy Maker, or Gift Wrapper.

Elf North Pole Workshop is an interactive homage to the movie’s spirit. Players collaborate in their chosen roles, contributing to the success of Santa’s Workshop and earning rewards for their collective efforts. The game is designed for users of all ages.

Ricky Tydus, senior vice president of creative strategy & film operations at Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group, said in a statement, “Elf has become a holiday classic over the last two decades, and we are excited for the opportunity to expand the magical world Fairview Portals created in collaboration with Supersocial into the hugely popular Roblox platform.”

Supersocial, in collaboration with Fairview Portals, incorporated artistic effects like tilt-shift cameras, desaturated environments, material-inspired textures, and frame rate limiters to authentically recreate the stop-motion world within Roblox’s real-time platform.

“This project was a labor of love and an exciting journey for the Supersocial team that captures the whimsy and joy of the holiday season,” said Yonatan Raz-Fridman, CEO of Supersocial, in a statement. “We set out to deliver an immersive and visually stunning experience for players, honoring our commitment to pushing the boundaries of interactive entertainment.”

Fairview Portals, founded by Jon Favreau in 2020, specializes in creating immersive experiences across physical and virtual realms, collaborating with industry giants like Apple, Disney, and Roblox.
