Etihad Airways will begin flying out of Logan Airport later this month when the carrier launches a direct flight between Boston and Abu Dhabi.

The Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates-based airline will begin servicing Logan Airport on March 31, making Boston the carrier’s fourth U.S. destination. The airline’s other U.S. destinations are Chicago, New York, and Washington, D.C. The airline also operates service in Toronto, Canada.

“For American travelers, the new Boston route presents exciting opportunities to explore Abu Dhabi’s cultural treasures and experience its renowned hospitality,” according to the airline. “From the iconic Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque to the opulent Louvre Abu Dhabi, the city offers a captivating blend of modernity and tradition.”

The new Boston route will operate four times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Travelers will fly on the airline’s Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, featuring business and economy seats.

“We are delighted to introduce flights to Boston, which opens up Abu Dhabi to visitors from the American Northeast and across the United States,” said Antonoaldo Neves, chief executive officer of Etihad Airways, in a statement. “We eagerly await welcoming guests to our extraordinary home as well as offering them access to our growing global network.”
