UNINCORPORATED WOODSTOCK, Ill. — An elderly man is dead after a two-vehicle crash in unincorporated Woodstock Friday morning.

Woodstock Fire Department and the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle crash near Charles Road. Investigators found a Lincoln car was travelling westbound on Charles when the driver lost control and entered the eastbound lane and collided with the front of a Hyundai.

Both the Lincon and the Hyundai exited the roadway to the south.

The 88-year-old driver of the Lincon was seat belted with airbag deployment. He was transported to Northwestern Hospital McHenry in serious condition where he was later pronounced dead.

The driver of the Hyundai, a 46-year-old man was seat belted with airbag deployment. He was treated on scene and released.
