My first time really diving into Ekko & Sidetrack was when I heard their incredible flip of Flume’s “Rushing Back.” Now, three years later, they’re set to release their debut album via the legendary Viper Recordings and the first single is out now.
The pair previously teamed up with the Bristolian songstress Ruth Royall on fan favorite “Paper Birds,” a track that has stood out since its release for its illustrious soundscapes and enchanting vocals. Now, working together once again, you can rest assured the result is nothing short of magical.
“The Light” is a pulsing, delicate liquid DnB track that plays wonderfully off Royall’s vocals and the bright synth work in the melody as the drums push everything forward.
