PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — As we kickoff this new workweek, we’ll see mainly dry and calm conditions around the Portland metro area as a ridge of high pressure starts to build on Monday and we then start to see those drier skies.
A few lingering showers are still expected into our Monday morning and early afternoon hours.
After we maxed out at 52 degrees for Portland’s daytime high on Sunday, we’ll see warmer temps for this upcoming week as Monday’s forecast calls for the mid 50s. Highs for the week in Portland will range from the mid 50s to the low 60s.
Tuesday through Thursday is looking mainly dry. However, Tuesday and into Wednesday, there’s a slight chance of an isolated shower or two, but the real wet weather is expected to return just in time for trick-or-treaters.
Yes, it’s looking like a potentially wet Halloween.
Some weather models are calling for numerous showers on Friday into Saturday with the chance of a strong atmospheric river to arrive during that timeframe. As of right now, though, weather models are not in agreement on the exact timing or amounts of rain in the forecast. So, of course, the KOIN 6 team will keep you all posted!
But the current forecast is trending towards adding a green check mark to us seeing measurable rain this Halloween in Portland.
Stay with the KOIN 6 Weather Team for the latest on the forecast across the Pacific Northwest.
