(FOX40.COM) — A crash involving a crossover and a train near Tracy resulted in the death of a man on Friday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol Tracy station.

Sometime around 8 a.m. a man drove his silver Honda Pilot through the crossing guard arms at the S Chrisman Rd rail crossing near Bates Road and was hit by an Ace Train.

It’s unknown if the man died at the time of impact, but he was found with fatal injuries by first responders.

The roadway was closed for about three hours as the scene was cleared of debris and the passengers on the train were moved onto a local bus.

No injuries were reported from any of the train passengers, but the train was disabled and taken back to the yard for maintenance.
