Former president Donald Trump, who was indicted by a Manhattan grand jury last week, is expected to speak at Mar-a-Lago on Tuesday after making an appearance at the Manhattan courthouse for his arrest and arraignment on the same day.

The ex-president is reportedly planning to give remarks from his Florida estate at 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Georgia Representative and Trump loyalist Marjorie Taylor Greene said on Twitter that she would also be making an appearance in Manhattan on Tuesday: “Join me this Tuesday in New York City to protest the political persecution of President Donald J. Trump by Soros-backed DA Alvin Bragg.”

According to the event page, Tuesday’s rally is described as a “peaceful protest of Alvin Bragg’s heinous attack on President Donald J. Trump.” Expecting a lot of fanfare surrounding Tuesday’s unprecedented scene, New York City is preparing extra safety precautions, including closing off streets near the courthouse.

Last Thursday, a grand jury indicted Trump in the Manhattan district attorney’s case into the hush-money payment made to porn star Stormy Daniels just before the 2016 presidential election. Although the specific charges are still under seal, Trump is reportedly facing about 30 charges, including at least one felony.

The Trump campaign said it raised $4 million in the 24-hour wake of the indictment news.

“I want to thank everybody for the tremendous support you have given me against this assault on our Nation,” Trump wrote on Truth Social on Saturday. “Our once beautiful USA is now a Nation in Decline. Radical Left Thugs & Insurrectionists have taken over our Country, & are rapidly destroying it. They are using the levers of Law Enforcement, and have completely Weaponized the FBI & DOJ to Interfere with, Rigg, and Steal our once SACRED ELECTIONS. We are now living in a THIRD WORLD COUNTRY, but we will Come Back & MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

On Sunday, Trump’s lawyer Joe Tacopina addressed his future steps in the case on CNN’s “State of the Union”: “I very much anticipate a motion to dismiss coming because there’s no law that fits this.”

This motion to dismiss wouldn’t happen until after Trump’s arraignment on Tuesday, Tacopina said: “We’re not doing anything at the arraignment because that would be showmanship and nothing more because we haven’t even seen the indictment yet.”

About Tuesday’s expected arraignment, Tacopina added: “Hopefully this will be as painless and classy as possible for a situation like this, which I don’t even know really what brings us here, but that’s a different story.” He continued, “All the Tuesday stuff is still very much up in the air other than the fact that we will very loudly and proudly say ‘not guilty.’”
