Deputies find man dead inside east Harris Co. motel room while serving warrant, HCSO says

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an incident in east Harris County where a man was found dead at a motel on Wednesday afternoon.

Sheriff Ed Gonzales said that the scene is on the 15800 block of the East Freeway. ABC13 arrived just as the scene unfolded, with several police cruisers on the feeder near it.

Officials said law enforcement was initially at the motel serving an arrest warrant, but later discovered the victim inside one of the rooms.

No additional injuries were reported, and officials did not say whether there were any suspects.

It is unclear if the man was the person whom officers were looking for while serving the warrant.
