Liberal Northwest politicians won’t like it, but Donald Trump is doing more to fix housing affordability in America than all their multi-billion dollar subsidy programs put together.
Face it, housing is just like anything else in our economy: supply and demand.
What brings the rent DOWN?
Cut demand. Trump has done that by exiting two and a half million illegals in the last 12 months. That frees up about 800-thousand housing units.
Some of that benefit SHOULD flow to Oregon and Washington…but it won’t because the Northwest states declared themselves sanctuaries.
Breitbart reports that in 14 of the top 20 metro areas with the largest illegal populations and biggest deportations saw home prices drop year over year.
The three cities with apartment price hikes offer sanctuary.
Rents in Seattle and Portland are still going up as the cities protect border hoppers.
If you’re one of those who believe we should tolerate law breakers and give them our schools, homes and hospitals, keep voting for the same folks.
Oh, and remember, illegals get a pass on obeying the law, even when they try to kill cops. Believe me, there ain’t any police chiefs shedding tears for law abiding citizens like you and me.
