Delta Air Lines will offer seasonal service from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport to each Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aires, the carrier announced this week.

Rio de Janeiro daily service will begin Dec. 16 and will operate with Boeing 767-300 aircraft featuring Delta One, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort-Plus and Main Cabin service. The route is part of the carrier’s joint venture with Latam and is the third route announced since the partnership was approved in September, following flights between São Paulo and Los Angeles, and between Bogotá and Orlando

The daily JFK and Buenos Aires route, which is not part of the Latam partnership, is scheduled to begin Oct. 28, pending government approval. It will operate with Boeing 767-400 aircraft offering the same four service options, according to Delta.
