Deadly multi-vehicle crash shuts down I-10 East Freeway westbound at Waco Street

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A major crash has shut down a portion of the East Freeway Friday morning.

TranStar reported the multi-vehicle wreck just before 6 a.m. on I-10 East westbound at Waco Street near Lockwood Drive.

SkyEye flew over the scene, showing at least six vehicles that appeared to be involved.

Emergency officials are reporting a fatality.

Traffic is being forced off at Lockwood.
