- Buster Posey was formally introduced as the Giants’ new president of baseball operations after his hiring was announced Monday. Giants manager Bob Melvin sat alongside Posey at the press conference, which is a good sign for Melvin, but Posey also announced the team would be hiring a new general manager. [KPIX]
- There was another fire at the troubled Potrero Hill affordable housing complex Monday night at Missouri Street and Turner Terrace. The fire is being attributed to squatters, as the building that caught fire is currently vacant. [Mission Local]
- The tech incubator/VC firm Y Combinator, famed for its outspoken CEO Garry Tan, is getting backlash for funding an AI startup that just stole someone else’s open-source code and licensed it as their own. [TechCrunch]
- The California DMV has largely eliminated the written test requirements for drivers 70 and older who are renewing their driver’s license. [KGO]
- A woman was harassed while riding a driverless Waymo vehicle Saturday morning, by two bros who asked for her phone number and refused to get out of the way of the vehicle. [SF Standard]
