Daniel Radcliffe, Tom Felton Have Spellbinding Reunion 24 Years After First ‘Harry Potter’ Film
Daniel Radcliffe is activating his wishing wand.
The 36-year-old has an important request for Harry Potter fans as Dominic Laughlin, Arabella Stanton and Alastair Stout prepare to slip on his, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint’s magical robes for the upcoming TV adaptation of the J.K. Rowling books.
“When these kids got cast, there was a huge thing on the internet around the world of people being like, ‘We’ve got to look out for these kids,’” Daniel told ScreenRant in an interview published Feb. 17. “But if everyone really means that, one of the things you can do for me is not ask about me, Emma and Rupert all the time.”
As he emphasized, “I would like [for us] to not be weird spectral phantoms in these children’s lives and just let them get on with it, because this is going to be a new thing. It’s going to be a different thing.”
Indeed, the Harry Potter alum—who starred as the titular wizard in all eight films—wants viewers to embrace this new adaptation, as he’s already confident Dominic will nail his portrayal of Harry. (Meanwhile, Arabella will star as Hermoine Granger and Alastair as the red-headed Ron Weasley.)
