Cvent and Zoom Video Communications have expanded a partnership to further hybrid and live event offerings, the two companies announced this week.

The collaboration allows Cvent platform users the ability to incorporate Zoom Events technology as an addition to the Cvent app’s hybrid capabilities and offerings, according to the companies.

“Many organizations already exclusively use the Cvent platform for all components of their hybrid events, virtual and in-person,” a Cvent spokesperson told BTN via email, “so this partnership is really about delivering a world-class in-person (and therefore hybrid solution) to Zoom customers that currently use Zoom for virtual meetings, but also want an in-person element to have a true hybrid event.”

Cvent already integrates with two other Zoom products—Zoom Meetings and Zoom Webinars—and this partnership extends that relationship this new offering, Zoom Events, according to the spokesperson.

The newly combined offerings are available on Zoom App Marketplace, according to the companies. “Normal” Cvent and Zoom product pricing will apply, which can be customized per each organization’s use case, according to Cvent.

Zoom was among the companies that invested in 2021 in the special purpose acquisition company that merged with Cvent, allowing it to go public late last year.
