A man and woman were shot and killed in Harbor City on Monday night while sitting in a parked car with their 1-year-old child, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The victims, both in their 20s, were believed to be boyfriend and girlfriend and the child was theirs, police told KABC-TV Channel 7. They were inside an Infiniti sedan on 253rd Street near Marigold Avenue around 6:40 p.m. when an assailant or numerous assailants approached them on foot and shot into the car, police said.
There were at least five bullet holes in the driver’s side window of the Infiniti as police collected evidence Monday, video from the scene showed. A Nike Air Max shoe sat next to the car by an evidence marker.
Police also removed a car seat from the Infiniti.
