ConnectOne Bank will soon be opening an office in East Hampton.

The bank, a wholly owned subsidiary of publicly traded ConnectOne Bancorp, will open a 1,000-square-foot office at 14 Main St. in late October.

The East Hampton loan production office will be ConnectOne’s second Long Island location, with its other office in Melville.

“We are thrilled about the expansion of our banking model onto the east end of Long Island,” ConnectOne Bank Chairman and CEO Frank Sorrentino III said in a company statement. “Since the establishment of our Melville office, we’ve seen growing demand from local small businesses for a bank that understands community roots.”

ConnectOne also announced the hiring of Margie Meighan as vice president and business development officer. Meighan was formerly a branch manager for Dime Bank in East Hampton.

“I am very excited to join the ConnectOne Bank team and support the growth of its people-first business model,” Meighan said in the statement. “The East End of Long Island has a robust small business market that values the relationship focused banking that ConnectOne provides.”
