WESTLAKE, Ohio
Drug possession: I-90
An officer stopped a vehicle for equipment and license plate violations at 12:30 p.m. Oct. 2 on I-90 westbound near the Crocker Road exit.
The officer discovered that the 38-year-old Cleveland man’s license was suspended, and he possessed suspected marijuana and more than a dozen non-factory-pressed pills. The pills field tested as methamphetamine. The male was charged with felony drug possession and several traffic charges.
Receiving stolen property: Sperry Drive
An officer at 8:15 a.m. Sept. 23 noticed that a vehicle in the parking lot of the WestSpring Inn was reported stolen out of Euclid.
A suspect in the theft identified by the Euclid Police Department was taken into custody at the hotel when he returned to the vehicle. The 23-year-old Cleveland Heights man was charged with felony receiving stolen property.
Theft: Detroit Road
A woman at 3:30 p.m. Sept. 22 reported being the victim of a theft while shopping at Discount Drug Mart the prior evening.
Upon unloading a cart at her vehicle, she forgot her purse and other items in the cart. The victim returned to the store within 10 minutes after discovering she was missing items, but they were nowhere to be found. When the complainant reported her credit cards missing, the bank informed her that there was one attempted fraudulent use.
