Chicagoland's Halloween Houses: Claustrophobia in Wonder Lake

If you aren’t a fan of tight spaces, this Halloween house isn’t for you.

Or maybe it’s exactly the right thing for you.

Tanner Hutt calls his Halloween home haunt in Wonder Lake, Illinois “Claustrophobia.” He sets up a full walkthrough that starts in the yard and makes its way through his garage.

Did I mention there are TEN ROOMS in this walkthrough?

That’s where the claustrophobia part comes in. He says the tight hallways and rooms give you the feeling of being trapped. They pump in fog and add some flashing lights. Each of the 10 rooms has its own theme that changes every year.

This is the sixth year Tanner has been putting Claustrophobia on for the Wonder Lake community and beyond. All of it is a family affair – Tanner gets help from his brother Cody, his parents Bob and Lauri, his bother-in-law Brad McDow and his sister Jen Housby.
