Ceres domestic dispute leads to arrests, seizure of guns and marijuana

(FOX40.COM) — The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office arrested two individuals on Sept. 6 after an investigation into a domestic dispute, uncovering weapons and processed marijuana.

Officials said that deputies arrived at the 5400 block of Central Avenue in Ceres due to a report of a man and woman fighting. At the scene, deputies contacted 30-year-old David Hurtado and 23-year-old Jessie Bobadilla, who were both detained.

During the investigation, deputies located several firearms, ammunition, and approximately 600 pounds of processed marijuana, according to the sheriff’s office.

Hurtado faces multiple charges, including terrorist threats, possession of marijuana for sale, and domestic violence. Authorities said Bobadilla was arrested for accessory.

Both were booked at the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center, officials report.
