Two Brampton men who run a trucking company are charged with conspiracy to import drugs over the Blue Water Bridge after a 300-kilogram cocaine bust earlier this year.
Lovedeep Singh, 32, and Khushdeep Singh, 29, who live at the same address in Brampton, are charged with conspiracy and possessing property obtained by crime. One of the conspiracy charges alleges between March 1 and March 6, in Point Edward, they conspired to import cocaine into Canada from the U.S. by organizing and directing Ravinderbir Singh, court records say.
Ravinderbir Singh, a 23-year-old truck driver, was arrested in March by Canadian customs officers at the bridge connecting Point Edward and Michigan and charged with importing cocaine and possessing cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
The other two conspiracy charges allege they conspired to import cocaine and methamphetamine into Canada between Jan. 1, 2024 and July 16, 2025. They were also charged on July 16 in Brampton with possessing the proceeds of crime: $115,250 in cash.
Khushdeep Singh is also charged with an additional count of possessing the proceeds of crime worth more than $5,000.
An RCMP spokesperson provided a summary of what led to the conspiracy charges. Ravinderbir Singh was working for Divine Freightlines, a company owned by Lovedeep Singh and Khushdeep Singh. After Ravinderbir Singh was arrested at the bridge, a followup investigation led police to allege Lovedeep Singh and Khushdeep Singh were involved in organizing the importation of cocaine, they said.
“Based on evidence located during a search warrant, and financial information obtained via production order, the RCMP investigators were able to establish sufficient grounds to charge them with the conspiracy to import,” the spokesperson said via email.
