BMO Harris is offering two bonuses for business checking account. This promotion has been extended until May 12, 23. This bank has been a hassle to deal with regarding personal bonuses but hopefully this BMO Harris $400 business bonus is less of a headache.

Offer

• To receive the $250 checking bonus:
  1. Open a new BMO Digital Business Checking, BMO Simple Business Checking, BMO Premium Business Checking, or BMO Elite Business Checking account between February 1, 2023 and May 12, 2023.
  2. By Day 31 your balance must be $5,000 and it cannot drop below $5,000 for the next 90 days.
  3. Have at least 10 electronic transactions post to the account within 90 days of account opening. Electronic transactions can be any combination of: ACH credits or debits, online bill payments, mobile deposits, wire transfers or debit card POS purchase transactions. ATM transactions and POS credits do not qualify as electronic transactions.

  1. Open a new BMO Digital Business Checking, BMO Simple Business Checking, BMO Premium Business Checking, or BMO Elite Business Checking account between February 1, 2023 and May 12, 2023.
  2. By Day 31 your balance must be $10,000 and it cannot drop below $10,000 for the next 90 days.
  3. Have at least 10 electronic transactions post to the account within 90 days of account opening. You are only eligible for one business checking bonus. Day 1 is the day you open your account and begins the tracking period. If you open your account on a day other than a Business Day, Day 1 is the next Business Day. The bonus will be deposited into the new checking account within 14 (fourteen) days of meeting the respective promotion requirements stated above, approximately Day 135.

Offers are not available to existing BMO Harris business checking customers or those who have closed a BMO Harris business checking account within the past 12 months.

  • $20 monthly maintenance fee waived with $5,000 Average Collected Balance or $15,000 in collective balances

Guru’s Wrap-Up

The deposit requirement have remained the same as a few months back, but the bonus is now lower. You get $250 or $400, instead of $300 and $500 which was the previous offer.

Some data points in the past show that this might not be the easiest bank to deal with. The bonus takes 120 days to post and you’ll need to request it yourself. But there’s no direct deposit requirement, which makes it easier for most people. Let me know if you have any experience with this bank.
