Entertix, one of the biggest ticketing platforms in Romania, has partnered with the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange by client count, Binance, to accept top crypto assets as an alternative payment for events.

Web3 Expansions in Romania

Founder and CEO of Binance, Changpeng Zhao (CZ), has taken to his Twitter page to announce the launch of Binance Pay, a cryptocurrency payment technology on Entertix, Romania’s largest ticketing platform. The leader of the leading blockchain ecosystem announced in the late hours of October 13, 2022, stating that Romanians can now use supported cryptocurrencies to buy tickets for teams and many other events.

According to the announcement, Entertix will now use Binance Pay to accept payments in various cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Cardano (ADA), Binance Coin (BNB), Ethereum (ETH), Ripple (XRP) among other crypto assets.

Binance’s new reveal marks another of its unending efforts to drive cryptocurrency adoption across various parts of the world. Being the leading global cryptocurrency payment provider, Binance is at the forefront of the movement for wider acceptance of the crypto asset class as an alternative payment solution. Binance does this most effectively through its crypto payments platform Binance Pay. 

In the past few months, Binance has signed several new partnerships targeted toward crypto adoption. Last month, the Dubai-based luxury hotel, Palazzo Versace, signed Binance as its cryptocurrency infrastructure provider. Palazzo announced the acceptance of cryptocurrencies for payments via Binance Pay, allowing guests to pay for dining, stays, and spa experiences using selected cryptocurrencies.

Binance Pay to Revolutionize Payments in Romania

Being a subsidiary of the popular crypto exchange platform, Binance Pay is a contactless payment system designed by Binance. It allows users to shop with crypto or send crypto anywhere in the world. It is currently being utilized by companies such as Travala.com, L’exception, and the top Ukrainian food chain retailer, Varus.

Launched in February 2021, Binance Pay proffers solutions to traditional payment systems, such as fast and cheap transactions. With Binance Pay, users can spend, pay, and send cryptocurrencies to any part of the world within seconds. Binance pay also allows about 29 Shopping Malls and 13 hotels In UAE to accept crypto.

At the moment, Binance Pay supports over 45 cryptocurrencies, including Cardano (ADA), Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Chainlink (LINK), XRP (XRP), Dogecoin (DOGE), and several others. All of Binance’s supported currencies will be accepted for ticket payments on Entertix.

Events Payment Made Easier

Entertix, a Romania-based ticket sales and event management platform is set to offer users a simpler payment option. The company, which sells tickets for various events within Romania, including movie and sports tickets, will now accept crypto payments via Binance Pay.

However, Entertix is not the first to accept cryptocurrencies for ticket purchases. As reported by U.Today, the official mobile app of AMC Theatres, the world’s largest movie theater chain, also allows users to buy tickets using Shiba Inu (SHIB) and Dogecoin (DOGE), according to the announcement made by CEO Adam Aron sometime in April.
